Energising Supply Chain Performance Measures
Presentation
Do you have a credible set of Supply Chain Measures? Are you confident the measures are an accurate reflection of your performance? Do the measures drive continuous improvement? Are they understood and respected by your organisation?
Surveys consistently show a high level of dissatifaction with performance measures, particularly non-financial measures.
This presentation will review current practice in Supply Chain performance measurement and argue for a closer inspection of the standard "biscuit cutter" metrics.
The presentation will propose a new model for measuring the supply chain and will take you on a highlights tour of this new approach. It will start with the higher level concepts and then take a look at measure alignment, perspective variation, connection with behaviour, lead vs lag and process vs content measures.
The presentation will unpack a few specific measures in the areas of forecasts, inventories and deliveries with the aim of uncovering the assumptions and deepening the understanding. This additional rigour can lead to a more targeted definition of your measures with the aim of energising the continuous improvement activity.
